Guide for using Irish Recruitment Websites

Searching for a new job can be a time consuming thing. First you will need to organise you CV/Resumé and with that you will need to provide some introduction in the shape of a Coverletter. And then you are ready to get yourself know.

Here is a list of the major places where you can start to search for a new job:

  • Online Recruiting Agencies, like Monster.com/Jobs.ie.
  • New Papers, like The Examiner on Fridays.
  • Direct posting of jobs on company websites.
  • www.JobsInIreland.ORG's listing of available Jobs In Ireland.
  • Job postings at your local FÁS offices.

Remember, that word of mouth is also a great tool to find a job, so let it be know that you are looking for employment.

Most of online recruiters have the capability to upload your CV/Resumé to their site, so employers & other specialised recruitment agencies can match your skill set with new jobs as they come online. It is also possible to get new jobs email bulletins, but remember don't have them sent to your current employers email address!

Don't be afraid to apply for jobs in other parts of Ireland, more and more are big companies are moving out of Dublin and heading to other University cities like, Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Galway & Belfast. And in your coverletter let it know that you are flexible about location if you are!

Make sure that the data that you post to these sites is accurate and up to date. Give mobile phone details as well as private email addresses to these companies. Remember that you should have a 'professional' looking email address, something like funkygirl69@email.com won't help you on your quest for a new job.
