I think this is our first story about Co. Westmeath, and sadly it’s not one of good news. 32 jobs will be lost at Griffner Coillte (www.griffnercoillte.ie) maufacturing plant in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. The company, who builds and sells modular timber frame houses, plans to move some of their operations to Austria. Sales and construction parts will remain main in Ireland, but the manufacturing will move to Austria. Griffner Coillte was established in 2003 as a joint venture between GriffnerHaus (www.griffnerhaus.com) and Coillte Ireland (www.coillte.ie).

Until Next Time…
