I would guess that it will be mainly in the manufacturing/production side, as this year they added most people to this area. I've heard that they will also be looking to see if they can get voluntary redundancies first, from 150 people. C&C is axing 150 staff — 140 at its Clonmel orchards and a further 10 at its headquarters in Dublin.

The losses include 18 staff from management, 50 from the production team, 44 from supply chain-operations and a further 10 from supply chain- financial/administration.

There will also be 11 job losses in the maintenance division and a further seven from the technical division
