This sometimes can be a bit tricky, but using it straight off and saying “Bob Jones has recommended me to contact you about …“. The tip about “don’t forget to include your Resume/CV” is also one worth noting, some companies we’ve worked with get between 10 and 20 cover letters without a CV every week !
