Dell to let 450 Go

Back in February we that DELL were under a bit of pressure to fixes their global finances. Last night there was an announcement from DELL (www.dell.com) that they will leave almost 9 thousand workers (8,800 to be exact) go by the end of the year. This is roughly 10% of their global workforce, they employ 3,000 people in Limerick and 1,500 in Cherrywood in south Co Dublin.

Is DELL in trouble

It is expected that 450 jobs will go in Ireland.

    Legend has it that within every Dell employee is a person wanting to break out and work for Apple in Cork. I wonder how many will make the switch? :)

    ha ! Good one :D I wonder could Apple take them all ? And how would they cope with working on white PC’s, maybe they’d need sunglasses for them
