Today Fortis (www.fortis.com) and An Post (www.anpost.ie) have announced a joint venture worth €112 million. The two companies will offer saving and investment products through An Posts regional branches later this year. And it is planned that they will introduce ATM and Internet Banking soon after. The new jobs, estimated at around 100, will be created by the end of year.
This all, of course, has to be approved by the Irish Financial Services, but it looks very likely it will happen. I guess this is something that will (finally) bring An Post into the 21st century. 
A company I have been wanting to work with for the last 5 years, but find it impossible to get in there, no mater how many people I knoe on the inside. It seems like a good oppertunity if this ATM Banking kicks off.
