When you are thinking you are having a bad day at work, sometimes it can be soothing to hear about other people who are worse off than you. This story is from the BBC on July 5th (yes we are still catching up on news after our holidays) where a Jenny Brown managed somehow to come 2nd in a 1 horse race. The cake-baking contest was organised by the Wimblington Sports Committee (www.wimblingtonscc.co.uk).
Jenny was pleased at first to hear that she came second, but afterwards while conferring with a friend on the committee about the competition, she was told that there weren’t any other entrants. To add insult to injury they cited the fact that the cake had wire indentations on it from the oven as the reason to mark it down. I think the picture above shows here dejection rather wel, no ?
That is the most horrible thing ever!
Priceless though.
