CHIP FIRM Intel (www.intel.com) is asking for 200 people in its Irish division to volunteer to lose their jobs. The reports are that this has come about after the latest management restructuring of their Lexlip plant. The people who work in their FLASH devision are mostly likely the target of these redundancies.
These jobs are expected to go by the end of the year
