Everyone is right in some respects. The thing is for young people regardless of education or otherwise to come together and brainstorm how we are to get out of this mess. Make your feelings known, get involved, come up with ideas/solutions and be creative – start a new business of some sort, get your friends to help, pick their brains, seek any support you can get from Enterprise Ireland or some of the colleges, there are great resources out there if you have ideas.

Part of me feels sorry for the average Irish person, however I’m very much reminded that like the Yanks who voted in an idiot like Bush twice, WORSE, the Irish, voted in Fianna Fail 3 times, despite knowing the last two times that there was SERIOUS corruption in the party. ARROGANT and GREEDY! Terry above can blame the government, but who put them there? Not a question a lot of people in Irish society would like to answer I think. I’m gone out of it, good luck to ye.

The Sh%^ has hit the fan. 500,000 by 2010 they say. Unlikely. Im thinking it to push 600,000. Government wont make the decisions needed. If the IMF get involved, and they might, God help us. Thank God I emigrated 5 years ago.

To Alex…. I thought ignorant people like you were disappearing or at least had the cop on to keep those uneducated and socially unaware comments to themselves. Believe it or not life does not give everyone equal opportunities… Yes i agree you will get those who sponge off the system, but a lot of people receiving welfare and those who live in council houses are decent people who just haven’t got a break in life.

Id have to agree. Its not at all realistic whats been reported. Ratail jobs are secure according to the stats. Anyone I know in retail are reporting profit. Its not as bad out their its just the lower class that is been affected. Them welfair claiming types who live in council houses. Having welfair b.a.s.t.a.r.d.s that we tax payers pay for. Lay on your back make a sprog and you walk into a council trash house. Classy breed of people.
