Irish Recruitment Blogs
We are always interested to hear of Irish companies (especially recruitment ones) who have blogs, and here is a new one, from Osborne Recruitment (http://osbornerecruitment.blogspot.com). Sadly they didn’t go for an on-site approach, instead they went for Blogger’s “out of the box blog”. Their first post is a rather bland introductory one but we’re sure they will get into the swing of things soon.
On another note the Irish Recruitment Blog by Ivan , also on blogger, (http://jobireland.blogspot.com/) posted for the 2nd time this year, and listed the Premiere Group as the nicest recruitment office in Ireland. Ivan has some interesting ideas when it comes to promoting open job positions, and includes tips about Google Adwords and search engine targeting.
Prosperity.ie has a blog located at http://blog.prosperity.ie/ . Again this is one that we’ve just come across, but we will be keeping an eye on it. Prosperity specialise in media, marketing and sales jobs, which might be the reason as to why they have chosen to use a blog to get more traffic to their website.
Krishna De’s blog at http://www.krishnade.com/blog/ has many great tips on everything from Employer Branding to Talent Management. She has a world of information, and we plan to get through it over the next few months. Her latest article “Which Social Networking site should you choose” has some great incites as to what employers do when researching their candidates.
International Recruitment Blogs
And another we’ve started reading today (btw. with great videos) is located at http://romulusbalazs.wordpress.com/ (site no longer active)

If anyone knows of any more recruitment agencies/companies or work related blogs for Ireland, do let us know.

Thank you so much for referencing my blog. You might also find the blog and podcast that I author at http://www.todayswomeninbusiness.com of interest – especially the five part podcast series I just completed on netowrking for success and a previous show about building your personal brand.
Thanks for all you do in providing resources to people about their job search.
You’re Krishna, I will have a look at them and report back. For now I have tons of new material to read.
This post is a very much work in progress as I keep finding great new stuff.
Hello,
Thanks for the short writeup about our new Osborne Recruitment blog. You’re right — for now, we’ve just opted for Google’s Blogger, to get started out and see how things go with their ease of implementation. Obviously you can only do so much branding with modifiable templates.
Anyway, we should be adding more content in the coming days and weeks, so keep an eye out at http://osbornereruitment.blogspot.com, as we’ll be posting news, information, insight, and suggestions for the world of recruitment here in Dublin.
Cheers,
Matthew O. Brimer,
Osborne Recruitment
Can’t wait to see what you publish Matthew, welcome to the blogging world !
Y’know this is very interesting and also very interesting to note that the most prolific private recruiment businesses with blogs also seem to be the most visible recruitment agencys in search.
I doubt this is a coincidence either.
Hi Mick, well from a SEO standpoint blogs are a good way of providing fresh content, and most of these recruitment companies have an in house SEO or hire external firms.
Thanks for your comment !
Paul
True, of course blogs which don’t have have the rel attribute set to ‘nofollow’ are pretty useful too I suppose.
Hi,
We have launched http://www.talkrec.ie, Morgan McKinley’s Irish recruitment blog.
We launched http://www.talkrec.co.uk earlier this year for our UK offices.
