Jam maker cuts 106 jobs

20 July 2007 | Ireland | No Responses by paul savage.

Yet again some more bad news on a Friday. This time it’s Premier Foods (www.premierfoods.co.uk) (those guys responsible for Chivers Jam) has announced their plans to cut over 100 jobs, after being in Ireland for the last 75 years. The job losses will be in Dublin & Tipperary, which involves 59 jobs being lost with the closing of their Coolock production plant and a further 47 will be lost at their logistics centres in Blanchardstown, Coolock and Thurles. These jobs are expected to be gone by September this year.
