News today came that online auction giant ebay (www.ebay.com) has decided not to opt for Sligo as it’s new base, but rather stick with Dublin. Ebay already has 1,200 in Dublin and was looking for another suitable base outside the capital city. The planned 200 new jobs would have been a great help to the county, and the IDA said they are disappointed that they Ebay didn’t follow up their Sligo option.
