News has come today that the Belfast electronic engineering firm Scott ElectroMech (Formerly Thrige-Scott Ltd. ) is to close. Scott ElectroMech (www.thrige-scott.com) employed 76 workers in East Belfast is to go into receivership.
Their company logo “Standing the test of time” is no longer holding true after 100 years of business.
Scott motors can be found in F1 wind tunnels, Malaysian rubber factories, Chinese sugar refineries. ski-lifts in Colorado and gold dredgers in Ghana.
